Patricia A. (Brown) Gyore

LOWVILLE – Patricia A. Gyore, 70, of River Road, passed away Monday morning, November 16, 2015, at Lewis County General Hospital.

A Funeral Mass will be said on Friday, November 20, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Lowville, with Rev. Christopher Carrara, Pastor, officiating.  There will be no calling hours.  Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Beaches Bridge Cemetery.  A luncheon will immediately follow the mass in the church fellowship hall.  Arrangements are with the Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., Lowville.    In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Lewis County Humane Society, P.O. Box 682, Lowville, NY  13367; Christmas Sharing Holiday Assistance, c/o Lowville Food Pantry, 7646 Forest Avenue, Lowville, NY  13367; or to St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 5457 Shady Ave., Lowville, NY  13367.

She is survived by her husband of over 51 years, Paul; a son and daughter-in-law, Tracy and Jennifer Gyore of Lowville; a brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Sally Brown of Lowville; a sister-in-law, Nancy Brown of Lowville; a sister and brother-in-law, Sally and Mark Everson of Watson; a brother, Joseph Brown, and his companion Sharon of Lyons Falls; four grandchildren, Bret, Matthew, Hannah and Tyler; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.  She is predeceased by two brothers, Dudley Brown and Philip A. Brown, Sr.

Patricia was born on November 30, 1944 in Boonville, NY, a daughter of the late Edward and Mary Burkhard Brown.  She moved with her family to Lowville at an early age, and graduated from Lowville Academy in 1962.  On October 31, 1964, she married Paul E. Gyore at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Lowville.  Together with her husband, the couple owned and operated her husband’s father’s dairy farm on the Hodge Road for ten years, then moving to their current residence on the River Road.  Patricia worked at Rick’s General Store in Beaches Bridge for over 20 years, last serving as manager.

Mrs. Gyore was a communicant of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Lowville.  She enjoyed making crafts and spending time with her family, especially enjoying time with her grandchildren.
