Erma Mae (Potter) Fairchilds

LOWVILLE – Erma Mae Fairchilds, 100, went to her heavenly eternal home on March 5, 2017, surrounded by her family at Lewis County General Hospital.

Erma Mae was born on May 20, 1916 in Margaretsville, NY, a daughter of the late Lynn B. Potter and Hattie Hotaling Potter.  Erma loved her family, friends, pets and stuffed animals.

She is survived by her three daughters, Ruth Miller of Lowville; Eloise Loomis of Cassville, NY; Darlene and Lash Camenga of Edmeston, NY; seven grandchildren, and many great grandchildren and great-great granchildren; great nieces and great nephews; and many friends who she touched the hearts of.  She was predeceased by a sister and brother-in-law, Leona and Earl Ludwig; a brother, Charles Potter, who died in infancy; and a great grandson.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral service.

The family would like to sincerely thank the caring staff of Lewis County Residential Healthcare Facility for the loving care they provided to her for the last four and a half years.  She loved you all dearly.
