William G. Hellinger

LOWVILLE – William G. Hellinger, 68, of East Road, died early Thursday morning, January 14, 2016, at Lewis County General Hospital, where he had been a patient since Monday afternoon.

Calling hours are from 1 – 3 and 5 – 8 p.m. on Monday, January 18, 2016 at Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., with a memorial service to follow at 8:00 p.m., with Rev. Bruce W. Chapman officiating.  Burial will be at the convenience of the family.  Contributions may be made to Friends of Lewis County Hospice, P.O. Box 266, Lowville, NY  13367.

Bill was born on November 9, 1947 at Lewis County General Hospital, a son of the late John and Muriel Walters Hellinger.  He graduated from Lowville Academy and Central School in the Class of 1965.

He lived on the family farm all his life, becoming its owner in 1970. He continued to operate the farm with the help of his friend and hired man, Brian Brouty (Twinkie).

Surviving are his daughters, Kimberly Perrigo of Carthage; and Jennifer Tabolt and her husband Troy, of Naumburg; five granddaughters, Brooklynne and Bella Perrigo; and Brenna, Adahlynne and Calynne Tabolt.  Also surviving are two sisters, Martha Cole and her husband, Ned; and Mary Lou Peters, both of Lowville; one brother, Thomas Hellinger of Watertown; an uncle and aunt, Ron and Betty Walter, several nieces, nephews and cousins.  He is also survived by his extended family.  Bill was predeceased by a brother, John, in 1975, a sister, Bonnie, in 2011, and his brother-in-law, Thomas Peters.

He enjoyed visiting with his friends at Lloyd’s, going to auctions and seeing old tractors, especially Olivers.
