When i got the news that you were gone i completely fell apart. You have been such a huge part of mine and my childrens lives for 25+ years. Weve been through the good and bad times together. We were family by choice. I will forever miss your laughter and your smile...your crazy shenanigans...i love you lori and you will be in my heart and memories forever. Every moment we shared brings a smile to my face yet tears now fall in the process...until we meet again my beautiful friend....

Lori was such a beautiful friend. She will be greatly missed. I will always remember all the advice she gave me through the years we worked together and after. My sincere condolences to all of Lori's family. I have so many childhood memories with living next door to the Ward family in Harrisville. As little girls we always found ways to get into trouble, but we sure had fun. Lori and I wrote letters to each other when my family moved to Wyoming. I was fortunate to see her as an adult when I made trips back to New York to visit. I will miss her zest for life!
Sincerely,
Kari Woodward-Kozak

February 3, 2017 5:20 PM

Laurie was a sweetie and I cared very much for her. There was a time when she was friends with my niece Tina, from Binghamton. One day, Laurie and I took it upon ourselves to travel down 81 to visit Tina. As we got to the busy section of the interstate along the edge of Syracuse, with traffic going off and coming in at what seemed to me to be high speeds, I pulled into my familiar left lane. After we'd gone aways Laurie gently said "Sue, I hate to say this, but I think this lane is for faster cars passing the other two lanes, I think you're in the wrong lane." I changed lanes !
