I am so very sorry for this great loss for the Ver Schneider family.
Years ago, as the Ver Schneider children were growing up, my father, Allen Hodge, would drive up to their farm on Sat. and bring one or two back to Watertown to work with him for the day.
I think most of the children worked with him at one time or another and he loved them all, especially Paul and Steve.
Years later, after my father died and I was struggling to keep things going, by renting out the Watertown houses and barn to provide income for my Mother’s care, problems would erupt with the septic tank, the metal roof on the farm house..and numerous other things that needed to be fixed.
I live in Rochester and had no idea how to go about any of the needed repairs. But all I had to do was to call Paul or Steve and they would immediately come to my rescue and do whatever needed doing.
Mr. Ver Schneider’s legacy is in the wonderful children that he and Mrs. Ver Schneider raised.
