Debbie and David,
My sympathies are with you following the death of your father. He was such a friendly presence on Summit Ave, and I'll always remember how generous (and fun) he was with us as kids, spinning us around the field behind his snowmobile over and over again until he must have been frozen. Such a kind man, dearly missed.

To Deb, David and their families: Your Mom and Dad were two of the first people we met when we moved to Lowville. Living next door for nearly 30 years means we have many wonderful memories, and your Dad was the kindest and most thoughtful neighbor one could ever have. His garden was a source of pride, and he knew if he brought over the rhubarb, I would bake the pie. I continued to take rhubarb pie to him at Brookside, and I looked forward to our visits. Please accept our sympathies on his passing and take comfort in all your wonderful memories. Thank you for a beautiful memorial service and reception. God bless you all.

Heartfelt condolences to all families of Chuck Carter.

The times Larisa would relate about her times with her Grandfather, the cooking together and great times at camp..what a treasure of wonderful memories. What a special man he must have been.

To learn so much more about his past is impressive and appreciated. Thank you for sharing his huge contribution to this country and community.

With much Sympathy and Love, Joe, Nancy and Emmett Pfeiffer

Though I did not know your father personally, many from Lewis County served in WWII with him...my father included. I want to thank your father and those others, including their families, who sacrificed so much for our generation. He will be missed. May you find comfort in the wonderful memories you made together.

We are sad to hear of your dad's passing Dave and Deb. From the time we met him way back when.....we enjoyed him so very much and learned to love his easy going ways and humor. Always loved running in to him and I ( Marcia) got the best and sweetest hugs. He was a true patriot: joining the Army at the young age of 19. He obviously served his country well. A true family man as well....he always spoke of you two with such pride. We are honored to have known such a special man , a good man who became a beloved friend to us.
