Dear Mr.Austin and Beth and all the family, I am sorry to hear of the passing of your son and brother. It is hard to say good-bye to anyone that leave us here on earth. But God somehow gives us the strength everyday to make it a little easier. Now he is with his mother and Janet in Heaven in fellowship with them. RIP Barry!

Dear Austin Family,
Our family is so saddened to hear of Barry's passing. We met and worked with Barry at Rochester YMCA Camp Gorham in Big Moose NY. Barry was a wonderful, caring counselor and teacher. Our campers absolutely loved him and gravitated to his classes. I remember his smile when he was with his campers and how they looked up to him in both stature and awe, waiting for his next direction, his next funny joke, or his congratulations on a job well done. He was an integral part of a great staff who gave many children a camping experience they will cherish. May knowing how many lives Barry touched at Camp Gorham and your memories help you through this difficult time. God bless your family.

We would like to extend our heart-felt condolences to the Austin family. We were all saddened to hear of his untimely passing. Barry touched many people, was well regarded and played a substantial role in protecting workers at height during his career in the fall protection business. Barry will be missed by everyone who had the opportunity to know him, especially those of us here at Reliance.

Barry Austin was one of my dearest friends in this World. We were Air Force buddies from a time long ago in the Philippines and remained friends through social media all these years. No one could ever ask for a better friend than "Big Barry"! It truly hurts me to here that my friend has left this World. You were loved by so many and I will miss you dearly...farewell my Brother!

I spent many of my adolescent years with Barry and was blessed to have some great memories. Barry was the one who taught us how to enjoy those memories to their fullest. There is no doubt he lived his life the same way and enjoyed every minute of it. Thank you Barry for showing me the way.
You may be gone but you will always be loved and never forgotten!
Godspeed my brother.

I am saddened to learn of Barry's passing. We logged thousands of miles together in sneakers, spikes and rubber tires and Barry always kept it most entertaining. He was a gifted athlete and if it's possible, an even finer scholar of life. I enjoyed more than a few Friday evening spaghetti dinners with Bert, Charlotte & Barry before Saturday morning meets and I will look back fondly and with a heavy heart to the days where we made cross country and track history together. I offer my sincere and deepest sympathies to Bert, Beth and the extended family. Godspeed my friend...

Barry was a hoot. Loved having a good time. Funniest memory is of when he was a lanky but super fast 9th grader. On a 10 mile run some seniors who shall remain nameless ripped his shorts off because they had a tiny tear in them. Coach Brown mercifully picked him up in his ever present mercedes after Barry said he fell into a ditch and ripped them on a twig. Barry got his revenge that fall by breaking our school record for our XC course as a 9th grader. Never have I seen a group of seniors so glum in the locker room after a race.

Barry, I'll miss you and have dozens of fond memories with you.

May Barry's family and friends be comforted by God's promise to "swallow up death forever, and wipe away every tear from all faces." (Isaiah 25:8) Remembering too the promise of the Resurrection hope here on earth, for both the Unrighteous and Righteous. (Acts 24:15)

My deepest condolences to Barry's family. He was quite a man. I met Barry in Houston when I graduated Highschool in 92. We had mutual friends in the Rugby community. I can honestly say that he contributed to some of the very best memories of my youth. He and I shared a common interest in cooking and entertaining people. Barry was a master at creating a welcoming environment for all and could talk intelegently about any subject. He will be sorely missed... God bless his dad Bert, and the rest of the family. I certainly feel your pain as he was family to us.
