Patricia "Pat" Ann (Bush) Wormwood

LOWVILLE – Patricia Ann “Pat” Wormwood, 82, of Beech Hill Road, passed away on Saturday morning October 21, 2023 at her home, under the loving care of her children and Lewis County Hospice.

She is survived by seven children, Tina Wormwood, Michael Wormwood, Douglas (Lynn) Wormwood, Richard (Marie) Wormwood, Laurie (Brian) Rice, Mary (Shawn) Onderko, Joseph Wormwood; ten grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, three sisters, Joanne (Michael) Meyer, Sandy (Ray) Moody, Wendy (Tim) Reed; two sisters-in-law, Faye Bush and Nancy Bush; several nieces, nephews and cousins.  She is predeceased by her husband, Floyd, who passed away on July 27, 1985; two brothers, Robert and Richard Bush; two sisters, Elaine (Hubert Sr.) Click, and Jean (Joe) Porecca.

Pat was born on March 11, 1941 at home in Town of New Bremen, NY, a daughter of the late Richard L. and Margaret Dorothy Corbo Bush.  She graduated from Father Leo Memorial School in 1959.  On October 3, 1959, she married Floyd J. Wormwood at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, New Bremen.  Pat raised her large family and was a homemaker until her husband’s passing.  She then worked as a nurse’s aide for Lewis County General Hospital & Residential Healthcare Facility for more than 20 years until her retirement. 

Pat was a communicant of the former St. Peter’s Catholic Church, New Bremen and St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, Croghan.  She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing and watching her birds.  Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.

A funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 27, 2023 at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, Croghan, with Rev. Donald Manfred, Pastor, officiating.  Burial will be in St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Croghan. There are no calling hours.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be to Friends of Lewis County Hospice, P.O. Box 266, Lowville, NY 13367.  Arrangements are with Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., Lowville.
