CARTHAGE-It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Patricia Ann “Patty” Norton, 67, of State Route 126.  Patty passed away suddenly early Sunday morning April 21, 2024.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at the Lowville VFW, 7744 West State Street, Lowville, all are welcome.  There will be no calling hours or funeral service.  Any food donations may be taken directly to the Lowville VFW on Saturday morning beginning at 9:00 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Lewis County Memorial Post #6912 Auxiliary, 7744 West State Street, Lowville, NY 13367 or Lewis County Humane Society, P.O. Box 682, Lowville, NY 13367.  Arrangements are with Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., Lowville.

Patty is survived by her beloved husband, David; five children, Theresa Norton Tibbles and her companion Bob, children and grandchildren of Felts Mills; David W. Norton Jr. and companion Edie, children and grandchildren of Black River; Tracy E. Brown and daughter of Lowville; Lora L. and Jason Largett and children of Croghan; Luke H. and Melissa Norton and children of Felts Mills; 15 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; her siblings, Larry R. and Donna Drelick of Lowville; Frederick  G. “Fred” Drelick of Lowville; Linda and Cal Fredenburg of Watertown; Julie and Dale Kloster of Lowville; Gloria Church of Lowville; Ralph Drelick Jr. of Lowville; Cindy L. and Joe Percoski of Carthage; Katrina Drelick and her companion Dick Walker of Carthage; Brenda and Arthur Pellerin of Carthage; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many cousins; her Norton family, Ronnie Norton of Lowville and his companion Donna; Jeff and Wanda Norton of Lowville; Judy and Bob Barker of West Virginia; Diane and Larry Kieffer of Lowville.  She is predeceased by her parents, Ralph J. Drelick Sr., Martha Beyer Drelick; two sisters, Rose Martha Drelick, Joyce Kloster; and three nephews, Jeffrey Kloster, Joseph Kloster and Daniel Kloster; her father-in-law, Harold D. Norton, mother-in-law, Helen I. Ward Norton; brother-in-law, Mark Norton;  two sisters-in-law, Elaine Norton Taylor and Ruby Norton; son-in-law, Jeffrey Tibbles.

She was born on January 16, 1957 in Lowville, NY, a daughter of the late Ralph J. and Martha Mae Beyer Drelick and attended Copenhagen Central School and Lowville Academy.  On November 17, 1979, she married David W. Norton at Community Assembly of God with Pastor Baker officiating.  Patty was a bus driver for Lowville Academy for 31 years, retiring in 2020.  Together with her husband David, the couple enjoyed their hobby farm where they enjoy horses, chickens, goats, and beef cows.  Patty especially loved her dogs.  Her interests were gardening and flowers, horseback riding, anything outdoors, ATV riding, camping, and barbeques.  She had a love of music as well as dancing.  Her family was her biggest love, her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, her sisters & brothers, in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends that were like family.  Her sense of humor and her ability to love life and make people laugh will be missed, she had a comeback for everything, and you knew where you stood with Patty.
