Linda C. (King) Doney

CARTHAGE- Linda C. Doney, 76, of Washington Street, passed away Sunday morning, June 23, 2019 at Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown. 

In keeping with Linda’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral service.   Arrangements are with Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., Lowville.   

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Ralph and Connie Colson of Flagler Beach, FL, Timothy and Maria Colson of Tallahassee, FL; three step-children Jeanette and Arthur Burghardt of Chittenango, Maribeth Doney of Daytona Beach, FL, and Kevin Doney of Canastota, a sister,  Betty Jean Martin of Black River; and a brother Tom King of Carthage; seven grandchildren, a great-grandson; several nieces, nephews and cousins  She is predeceased by her husband, Leon Doney Jr.; a son, Jeffrey Colson; two brothers, Herbert Cross; and Jerry King, who died in infancy; and two sisters, Elaine Hubbard; and Sharon King, who died in infancy. 

Mrs. Doney was born on February 19, 1943 in Carthage, NY, a daughter of the late Walter M. and Ethel L. Rohde King and attended Carthage Jr. / Sr. High School.  She married Howard R. Colson, and later the marriage ended in divorce.  She married Leon F. Doney in Daytona Beach FL in 1978.  Mr. Doney died on September 20, 2011.  Linda returned to Carthage in October, 2015.  She enjoyed her computer.
