Dorothea Grace (Beckstead) Erickson

Dorothea Beckstead Erickson. 77 of Anderson SC passed away at her home on November 22nd with her daughter by her side. Born November 29, 1942 in Watertown NY. She was the daughter of the late Kenneth Beckstead Sr. And Shirley Beckstead Piper. A marriage to Thomas Bullard Jr ended in divorce. She later married Keith Erickson. Dorothea wore many hats in her life time, too many to list! Her devotion to all her loved ones family and friends was her calling along with her faith. Her greatest accomplishment was becoming a rape crisis advocate where she was awarded from the State of South Carolina the Volunteer of the year in 2016. She is survived by her husband. Daughter Joanne (Scott) Andre. Lowville NY. Son Terry Bullard Anderson SC. Two Step sons Mark Erickson Anderson S, C. And Steven Erickson Georgia. A brother Kenneth Beckstead Jr. (Patti) Windsor NY. Sister Janice Beckstead Conway SC. Five Grandchildren and Five great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she is pre-deceased by her son Danny Bullard. Brother Jerry Beckstead and sister, Janice Bradley. A virtual celebration of life will be held Saturday December 5th at 2pm on the McDougald Funeral home website.
