Anne Berner Obituary

LOWVILLE - Anne Miller Berner, 87, of Brookside Circle, Lowville, passed away on Saturday morning, March 2, 20204 at the Lewis County Health System Hospital.

Anne was born on February 9, 1937 in Utica NY, a daughter of the late Charles Henry Frederick Miller and Marion Langdon Miller. She graduated from New Hartford Central School in 1952. On August 8, 1953, she married Arthur R. Berner at the bride’s grandparents’ home with Rev. Roswell Williams officiating. Anne worked as an administrative secretary at Royal Carting in Hopewell Junction, NY, retiring in 1997.

Her “heaven on earth” was living at Chase Lake in the house that she and Bob built - always making room for her lovely cats.

She is survived by her three children, Steve (Michele) Berner of Fishkill; Douglas (Camille) Berner of Bath, ME; Karen Berner of Norwalk, CT; two grandchildren, Jeffrey (Christina) Berner of Brooklyn, and Gina Berner of Tarpon Springs FL; and a great-granddaughter, Cecilia Rose Berner; her twin sister, Ruth Schulz of New Hartford; a sister-in-law, Doris Miller of Scottsdale, AZ; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Arthur Rupert “Bob” Berner; a brother, Carleton Charles Miller; and a sister, Marilyn Miller Stiefvater.

There will be no calling hours or funeral service. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are with Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., Lowville.
