Tue Wind

LOWVILLE – Tue Wind, 37, of Lowville, passed away unexpectedly on August 15, 2016.

He is survived by his wife, Desarae; two sons, Marcus A. Wind, age 13; and Lucas K. Wind, age 9; his father, John Wind and his wife, Jonna, of Denmark; his mother, Dorrit Sorensen of Denmark.

Tue was born on August 27, 1978 in Gentofte, Denmark, a son of John Wind and Dorrit Sorensen.  He graduated from high school in Denmark, and moved to California in 2002.  On January 21, 2003, he married Desarae Gil in Placerville, California.  Tue served in the U.S. Army from 2007 until 2011, where he was stationed in Germany. He served a tour in Iraq supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom before being stationed at Fort Drum.  Mr. Wind earned his Associate’s Degree from Jefferson Community College. He was working towards his Bachelor’s at SUNY Empire State.  He was currently working as an independent contractor for Google, as a translator.

Tue loved spending time with his family hiking in the Adirondacks, canoeing in the local reservoirs, and camping at many of the state parks. 

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held privately by the family.
