Susan P. Dorrance

BRANTINGHAM – Susan P. Dorrance, 68, of North Shore Road, passed away at her home Thursday morning, June 9, 2016.

In keeping with her wishes there will be no services.  A celebration of life will be held at a time to be announced.  Memorial contributions may be made to Lewis County Search & Rescue, P.O. Box 247, Lowville, NY 13367.  Arrangements are with Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., Lowville.

She is survived by her husband of over 44 years, Albert G. Dorrance, Jr.; three children, Albert G. Dorrance III of Clay; Daniel W. Dorrance and his companion, Amanda Glazebrook of Liverpool; Caitlin M. and John Kicak of Brewerton; her grandchildren, Briana, Matthew, and Kara Dorrance, and John Kicak, Jr.; her brothers and sisters, Dr. William F. Pfohl, and his wife, Virginia, of Bowling Green, KY; Kristen and Robert Rickert of Cicero; Robert Pfohl of Weedsport; Marlene and Eric Christensen of Minoa; aunts and uncles, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.  In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by a brother, Peter Pfohl.  

Susan was born on March 14, 1948 in Syracuse, a daughter of the late William F. and Elizabeth M. O’Donnell Pfohl.  She graduated from Bishop Ludden High School in 1966, and attended college for two years.  Susan worked for Onondaga Savings Bank prior to her marriage.  On October 9, 1971, she married Albert G. Dorrance, Jr.  Mrs. Dorrance worked for Carrier Corp., and then raised her family.  The couple moved to their current residence in 2011.

Susan loved crocheting, riding on her party barge, spending time with her grandchildren, and floating in Brantingham Lake with her hat on.
