Robert Thomas Foley, Jr.

NEW BREMEN – Robert Thomas Foley, Jr., 58, met his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on August 3, 2016, surrounded by his family in New Bremen.

Bob was born on April 27, 1958 in Ilion, NY to Robert Thomas Foley, Sr. and Jean Wells Foley, the fourth of twelve children.  He had lived in the Smith Family Care home since 2011.

Bob enjoyed spending time with the Smith family, shopping, walking, eating dinner out, and socializing.  He attended Lewis County Day Habilitation programs, and outings with others.  He especially appreciated visiting people in the nursing homes.

Bob attended church at United Church of Copenhagen, where he acted as an usher, and greeted his church family.  Bob was very thoughtful, helpful and giving to others.  He will be remembered for his great sense of humor and infectious smile.

Bob is survived by his mother, Jean of Louisiana; his siblings, Keith, Alan, Jeffrey, Patrick, Craig, a special sister, Cheryl, Colleen and Kelly.  He is also survived by his Family Care members, Mary, Patrick, and Joshua, as well as extended families, the Zehrs and the Szewcs.  Bob was predeceased by his father, his twin sister, and brothers, Scott and Kevin.

His funeral service will be held on Monday, August 8, 2016 at 12:30 p.m. at the United Church of Copenhagen.  Burial will follow in West Lowville Rural Cemetery.  Contributions may be made to Friends of Lewis County Hospice, P.O.
