LOWVILLE- Joshua Alexey Richard Hlad left this world on March 26th, 2017, by his own hand. 

He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Hlad and his three beautiful little children, Liam, Maddison, and Holdyn. His parents, Alexey and Robbin Hlad, Lowville,  his sister, Heather Hlad (Stephen Hunkins), Glenfield, paternal Grandmother Joan Hlad, Lowville, and maternal Grandmother Linda Spencer, Lowville.  His in-laws Kenneth and Cathyrn, Lowville, his brother in-laws Kenneth Jr (Laurie), Turin, Kevin (Shana), Boonville, his sister in-laws Beth and Rich Maxam, Greig, Amanda Parker, Lowville, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.  He is preceded by his paternal Grandfather Alexey Hlad, maternal Grandfather Richard (Tony) Spencer.

Josh was born on August 20th, 1984 in Lowville, NY to Alexey and Robbin (Spencer) Hlad.

He married Rebecca Hosmer on August 25th, 2012 under the shade of an apple tree, at the Hlad family homestead on Tug Hill.  It was in this very spot that years earlier he had harvested a fine buck.

He graduated from Lowville Academy in 2002, and went on to attend college at Paul Smith’s.  He has spent the last 5 years working at AMF in Lowville, NY. 

Joshua was a family man, a hard worker, a loving and kind soul.  Beyond spending time with his wife and children, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trapping.  Josh was always up for anything that required a pair of boots and an adventurous outdoor spirit. 

Josh’s life would seem too short to many, however the legacy that he has left behind will live on to shine the light that he battled so hard for.

Calling hours will be from 3 – 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 30th, 2017 at Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., Lowville.  The funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 30th, 2017 with Rev. Evan Zehr officiating. 

A reception will follow.  Food Donations can be dropped off at the Lowville Firehall after 4pm.
