Glenn J. Pominville

LOWVILLE – The graveside committal service for Glenn Pominville, 75, of Johnson Road, Glenfield, will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 24, 2016 in Old Glendale Cemetery.  Mr. Pominville was reunited with his beloved wife, Sharon, early Thursday morning, September 1, 2016.

LOWVILLE – Glenn Pominville, 75, of Johnson Road, Glenfield, was reunited with his beloved wife, Sharon, early Thursday morning, September 1, 2016.

He is survived by three daughters and one son-in-law, Kimberly J. Pominville of Glenfield, Kassandra J. Pominville of Glenfield, Erin J. and Christopher Marinelli of Norwich, NY; two grandchildren, Trent and Addison Marinelli; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Richard Pominville, of Glenfield; Hilary and Regina Pominville, of Port Leyden; Henry and Kathy Pominville of Glenfield; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Corrine Fenton, of Glenfield; Elaine and Gary Rosiczkowski of Turin; two sisters-in-law, Barbara Pominville of Croghan, and Bonnie Pominville of Brantingham; brothers and sisters-in-law, Herbert and Pam Powell of Greene, NY, Richard and Linda Powell of Lisbon, NY; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by his wife, Sharon, who died November 8, 2009; a son, Gregory S. Pominville, who died on July 9, 2000; a sister and her husband, Joanne and Louis Kampnich; five brothers, Francis and George Pominville, who died at birth, Allen Pominville, Gerald Pominville, and Edwin Pominville; a brother-in-law, Nelson Fenton, and a sister-in-law, Peggy Pominville.

Glenn was born on May 13, 1941, a son of the late Hilary M. and Beatrice VerSchneider Pominville.  He attended Father Leo Memorial School in Croghan and worked on the family farm. On May 20, 1967, he married Sharon Powell in Ogdensburg, New York. The couple made their loving home in Glenfield for many years.  Mr. Pominville worked on the Croghan railroad, and in 1970 became employed at Kraft Foods in Lowville, where he retired in 1993.

He enjoyed the outdoors, continuously working around his home, gardening, and most of all spending time with his family.
