PORT LEYDEN – Susan M. Karpinski, 58, formerly of Thomas Road, passed away early Sunday morning, February 21, 2021, at the Lewis County Residential Healthcare Facility, where she has resided since January 2017.
A private graveside service will be held in the spring in Brantingham Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Lewis County Humane Society, P.O. Box 682, Lowville, NY 13367; or to the Lowville Food Pantry, 7646 Forrest Ave., Lowville, NY 13367.

She is survived by her children and grandchildren, Stephanie Karpinski and her son, Caleb of Charles City, IA; Kimberly and Austin Carmen and their two children, Andrea and Samantha, of Lyons Falls; Rick Karpinski of Port Leyden; her companion, Mike Rogers; her mother, Patricia Fox of Greig; her siblings, Glenn J. Fox of Greig; James P. Fox of Summerville, SC; Laurie Fox and her companion, Dwight Snyder of Brantingham; Steven Fox of Greig; Mary Beth Fox of Watertown; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by her father, Glenn H. Fox, who died October 21, 2010.
Susan was born on June 26, 1962 in Constableville, a daughter of the late Glenn H. Fox and Patricia Barber Fox. She graduated from South Lewis Central School in 1980. Susan worked in the cafeteria at South Lewis Central School from 1995 until 2015.
Susan was a very giving person, and loved her family very much. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, and with Mike.
