LOWVILLE- Stanley Anthony Wasilewski, 94, formerly of Tinsley Hill, Erieville, passed away on Friday, November 20, 2020 at the Lewis County Residential Healthcare Facility, Lowville.
All services will be held privately by the family. Arrangements are with Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc.
He is survived by three children and their spouses, Michael and Rita Wasilewski of
Corning, NY; Edward Wasilewski and Debra Taprell of Deland, FL; Mary and Rodney Manor of Lowville; four grandchildren, Edward Wasilewski, Jr.; Constance Bankus; Robin Won; Kimberly Sealy; a great grandson, Anthony Wasilewski; a sister Mary Dow Delphi Falls; NY; nieces and nephews.
Stanley was born on November 23, 1925 in Montague, MA, a son of the late Anthony and Mary Wasilewski and attended Otselic Central School and worked on the family farm. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and served during WWII. He was a Sergeant under the 152nd Airborn Anti Artillery Battalion. In August of 1949, he was united in Marriage with Mary Louise (Lou) Sherman in Marathon, NY. They purchased a farm on Tinsley Hill in Erieville, NY where they raised their family. He retired from the Oberdorfer Foundry in Syracuse where he worked in maintenance.
He was predeceased by his Wife Mary Lou who passed away in October 1996 and a son Stanley Wasilewski Jr. who passed away in November of 2006. He was also predeceased by his sister, Eugenia Popek.
Stanley enjoyed working with steel & masonry. He also was an avid hunter and fisherman, and was a hobby farmer, raising beef cows.
