Scott Loomis Obituary

CONSTABLEVILLE- Scott Kayden Loomis, 58, of State Route 26, passed away early Sunday morning, June 18, 2023 at Lewis County Health System Hospital.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Theresa Loomis, his children, Courtney Kraeger and her husband Bruce; Shelby Cobb and her husband Justin; Shawn Loomis and his wife, Brianna; and Collin Loomis; his cherished grandchildren, Nolan, Brooke, Kayden, Maverick and Lyra Kraeger; Paxton Loomis, Joseph, Jaymis, and Amara Cobb; Luka and Oakland Loomis; his parents, Florenc e and Larry Goodheart; a sister, Renae Loomis of Georgia.  He is predeceased by his father, Kayden Hartman Loomis.

Scott was born on December 10, 1964 in Watertown, NY, a son of the late Kayden H. Loomis; and Florence Carpenter Loomis.  He graduated from South Lewis High School in the Class of 1983 and served in the U.S. Army from 1983 to 1991.  On September 24, 1988, he married Theresa Schindler at St. Martin’s Catholic Church, Port Leyden.  After his service, Scott worked for InterFace Solutions, Beaver Falls from 1991-2021.

Scott was a devout family man who stood by his personal motto that his family always came first and that all he needed in his life was his wife and kids and those grandbabies he loved so much.   He had a huge heart that matched his huge smile, laugh, and the bear hugs he would give to everyone he loved.  He turned many a friend into what he called a man hugger.  He enjoyed trying to beat his personal yearly record for miles put on his motorcycle and going on cruises with the love of his life.  Scott kept a huge brotherhood close to him from his time served as a Field Medic in the 41st Combat Support Hospital and looked to all who have served as an extended family member.

In keeping with Scott’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral service.  A Celebration of Life will  be held at 1:00 p.m. on July 1, 2023 at the Boonville VFW.   Any food donations may be dropped off that morning beginning at 10:00 a.m .   Burial at the Collinsville Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family.  Donations to help cover funeral costs can be sent to Theresa’s venmo: @Theresa-Loomis-3 or facebook pay.  Gifts and flowers may be sent to the family home at 2412 State Route 26, Constableville, NY 13325 or Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., 5702 Waters Road, Lowville, NY 13367.  Arrangements are with Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., Lowville.
