Ronald W. Pierce

Ronald Pierce, 67, of Croghan, New York, went home to be with the Lord on November 28, 2022. He will be missed by his wife of 40 years, Sue; children, son Chris, daughter-in-law Stephanie, daughter, Nicole, and grandchildren, Elijah and Emma. Ron left a significant impact on the world around him.

Born March 26, 1955, Ron grew up on a farm in Heuvelton, New York, learning the value of hard work from his parents, William and Betty Pierce, who both preceded Ron in passing. Also preceding him were  his sister and brother in law, Judy and Jim Preston and brother in law, George Brooks. Ron is survived by his sisters Jenny (and Ed) Fisher, Bonnie Brooks and Donna Hernandez as well as many nieces and nephews.

With a resume that stretched page after page, Ron became a jack of all trades but above all else he was a carpenter. His love for carpentry drove him to be a master craftsman, specializing in unique, custom-built projects; there are many homes who are blessed with his craftsmanship.  Ron also spent 15 years at Beaver River High School, faithfully serving the people of the school community. He was relied upon by many as a general handy man and was always available to help when needed.

Ron, above all else, loved people. His love for Jesus and his community was displayed through his heart to help whoever and however he could. His faith was conveyed through his actions of loving and giving to others. It was not uncommon to see Ron stop and help a stranger on the side of the road, complete construction jobs without charging, travel hours away to help a stranded friend, or give his own time and money to make someone else's life better. There was nothing too big or too small for Ron to do for someone.

Ron loved his family well. He took joy in working on house projects and renovating his children’s homes. He was patient to teach his children skills that will stay with them for years to come. He would often be heard celebrating the successes of his children and expressing his delight and pride in their accomplishments. He took great pleasure in his role as grandfather, or as his grandchildren called him, “Boo Boo”. Ron’s love for Sue was ever evident in his willingness to put her needs above his own. Their marriage was a testimony and blessing to so many.

Calling hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc, 5702 Waters Road, Lowville. His Celebration of Life Memorial Service is at 2:00 p.m. at New Life Fellowship in Beaver Falls. All are invited to join the family for a celebration meal immediately following the service, also at New Life Fellowship.
