LOWVILLE- A graveside service for Ronald A. Bacon,77, of Number Three Road, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at Castorland Union Cemetery. Ron passed away on Monday, December 2, 2024, at his home with his loving wife by his side. Arrangements are with Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., Lowville
LOWVILLE- Ronald A. Bacon,77, of Number Three Road, passed away on Monday, December 2, 2024, at his home with his loving wife by his side.
Calling hours will be on Saturday, December 7, 2024, from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. at Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., Lowville. Calling hours will close with a Military Honors Tribute, beginning at 4:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Castorland Union Cemetery in the spring. Ron is survived by his beloved wife, Nativida “Nathy” Bacon; six children, Lisa Sweeney, Ronald P. Bacon, Tonya Hulbert, Randy Bacon, Jonathan Bacon, and Felicia Bacon; 16 grandchildren; six siblings, Shirley Jaynes of Rome, Robert and Sandy Bacon of Lowville, Nancy and Charles Harris of Connecticut, Sharon Bacon of Lowville, Laura and Russ Hutchins of Lyons Falls, Sherry and Gary Genito of Belfort; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by two brothers, Gerald and Lawrence “Larry” Bacon; and a sister, Sally (Raymond) Spencer.
Ron was born on May 3, 1947 in Lowville, NY, a son of the late Maturon L. and Evelyn M. Bradish Bacon. He attended Lowville Academy and later enlisted in the United States Army, where he served from 1966 to 1968. He worked as a farm hand for several years before becoming an over the road truck driver and eventually an independent dump truck driver. On November 14, 1983, he married Nativida Quiroz in Phoenix, Arizona, a loving union lasting over 41 years.
Ron’s hobbies and enjoyments include, bowling, hunting, and fishing.
