Philip M. Coccia

ROCHESTER-Philip M. “Phil” Coccia, 65, passed away on Wednesday August 5, 2026 at Waterview Heights Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, in Rochester, NY.

Phil is survived by his siblings, Margaret (Ed) Chapman of Glenfield, Kimberly Coccia of Rochester, Theresa (Chuck) Putman of Whitehall, Pearl Tabone of Hudson Falls, and William Coccia of Glenfield; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.  He is predeceased by his brother, John Michael Coccia.

Phil was born in Rochester, NY, on September 20, 1960, a son of the late Philip Peter and Wilma June Kretovic Coccia.  He spent his life in a state school, and later in Newark, NY in a group home.  Phil loved music, especially the band Journey.  He also loved his coffee and food, and his smokes.  Phil will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m. on Friday August 21, 2026 at Petries Corners Cemetery, Watson, with Pastor Wayne Arnold, officiating.
