Peter was born on September 12, 1940, in Rochester, NY, a son of the late Albert and Ave Natale. After graduating from high school, he spent two years in Laos working to help rural villages develop access to running water—an experience that profoundly shaped his life.
Upon returning to New York, Peter met and married Sandra Lee Siegel on August 20, 1966, in Cortland, NY. The couple lived in Rochester for 2 years and moved to St. Thomas USVI in July 1968. They raised their two children and launched two successful businesses: The St. Thomas Penny Saver and Contant Flowers.
Later, Peter moved with his wife to California, where he opened The Roman Kitchen, an Italian restaurant. After six years, he returned to St. Thomas, and then later moved to Phoenix, Arizona, to be near his daughter and first grandchild.
Peter and Sandra eventually retired and became expats, fulfilling Peter’s lifelong dream of returning to Thailand and Laos, for 10 years. Most recently, they settled in Cuenca, Ecuador, for 6 years.
Peter will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, entrepreneurial drive, and deep love for family.
