Patricia M. (Hulbert) Tabolt

LOWVILLE- Patricia M. Tabolt, 78, of NYS Route 12, passed away on Sunday morning, March 16, 2025 at her home.

She is survived by three children, Roxanne and Richard Marolf of Lowville, Rodney and Theresa Tabolt of Lowville, and Reneé and Jerry Williams of Copenhagen; six grandchildren, Somer and Jesse Burnham, Katie and Alex Baca, Abraham (Sierra) Tabolt, Adrienne and Nick Moreland, Stuart Tabolt, and Dylan Williams; five great-grandchildren, Sara  and Troy Babcock, Nelson Hall, Jolene Ortiz, Faith Burnham, Eli Baca, and Adyn Baca; four great-great grandchildren, Aerolyn, Bryson, and Carson Babcock and Ezra Ortiz; two siblings, Thomas D. and Carol Hulbert of Palmyra, NY and Gerald “Jerry” and Beverly Hulbert of Lowville; one sister-in-law, Helen Hulbert of Lowville; her Tabolt in-laws, Fred Tabolt of Lowville, Mike and Sharon Tabolt of New Bremen, Mark and Kathy Tabolt of Lowville, and Marcia Jewett of Watertown; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Larry J. Tabolt on August 21, 1998; one great-great-grandson, Douglas Troy Babcock, and nine siblings, Naomi LaFlair, Charles Hulbert, Robert Hulbert, Sally Hirschey, Garvis Hulbert, Shirley Dier, Ronald Hulbert, Reginald Hulbert, and Carol LaFlair.

Patricia was born on December 14, 1946 in Lowville, a daughter of the late Spencer W. and Gladys Dickinson Hulbert. She graduated from Lowville Academy in 1964 and began working for the telephone company in Lowville as an operator before waitressing tables at Oakie’s Restaurant.  On September 25, 1965, she married Larry J. Tabolt at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, a blessed union of nearly 38 years until Mr. Tabolt’s passing.  After getting married, Patricia worked at the Dadville Tree Nursery and as a rural mail driver for the Lowville post office.  Later, with her sister Carol, she attended classes at the Glenfield BOCES to obtain her CNA certification.  Patricia worked at the Lewis County Extended Care Facility for many years before working in the nursing home activities department and eventually as an aide on the ARC bus.  Patricia did babysitting for many years as well.

She enjoyed painting landscapes, crafts, quilting, decorating her home, rearranging furniture, summer picnics, bonfires, Christmas decorating and music,  Christmas Eve get-together’s, the ladies Christmas party.  Patricia was known for her generosity on Halloween and loved to see the children.  She also loved to eat baked goods and sweets.  Patricia loved watching Law and Order on the television and spending time with her cherished dog, Oscar.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at Iseneker Funeral Home, 5702 Waters Road, Lowville, with Rev. Bruce Chapman, pastor officiating.  Calling hours will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service, at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Beaches Bridge Cemetery, Watson.  A luncheon will immediately follow the burial at the Lewis County Marine Corps League Farney Hall, 7429 State Route 12, Lowville, NY 13367. Any food donations may be dropped off at the hall beginning at 11:30 A.M. that morning.  Contributions in Patricia’s name may be made to Lewis County Office For the Aging, PO Box 193, Lowville, NY 13367 or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 or to a charity of your choice.
