LOWVILLE- Myra B. Potter, 86, formerly of Valley View Courts, Lowville, died Tuesday afternoon, November 8, 2016, surrounded by her family at the Lewis County Residential Healthcare Facility.
The funeral service will be at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, November 11, 2016, at Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., Lowville. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Carthage. A calling hour will be held from 11:00 – 12:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to Lewis County Residential Healthcare Facility Activities Department, 7785 N. State Street, Lowville, NY 13367.
She is survived by twelve children, Rita A. Merry of Lowville; Loretta M. Potter and companion Lawrence Cannan Jr. of Lowville; Terry L. Stenoski of Watertown; Cheryl A. Vary of South Carolina; Clarence A. Potter Jr. and companion Marge of Croghan; Cynthia J. and Christopher LaComb of Carthage; Steve and Penny Potter of Croghan; Alan Potter of Copenhagen; Elaine L. and Jack Felker of Copenhagen; Roger L. and companion Darlene Leaf of Lowville; Linda L. Potter of Lowville; Duane and Linda Potter of Harrisville; 31 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband, Clarence Alfred Potter Sr., who died on July 29, 2001; 5 brothers, Edwin, Lester, Benjamin, Harold and Charles West; and a sister Clara O’Hara.
Myra was born on April 12, 1930 in Carthage, NY, a daughter of the late Benjamin C. and Delia Champion West.
She enjoyed music, puzzles, taking walks, the outdoors, fishing, and most of all spending time with her family.
