CROGHAN- Melissa Sue Fayle, 45, of Old State Road, passed away at her home on Saturday, November 15, 2025.
Calling hours are from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 21, 2025 at Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., 5702 Waters Road, Lowville, NY 13367 with a funeral service starting promptly at 7:00 p.m. All are welcome to a Celebration of Life Gathering at the Croghan American Legion immediately following the funeral. Burial will be held privately and at the convenience of the family. Missy is survived by her cherished daughter Kennley; her boyfriend Josh “Dirty” Nortz and his family; Kennley's father, Bill Fayle and the Fayle family; her parents, Kenny and Nancy Myers; her sister and brother-in-law, Leslee and Todd Mattis of Croghan, and her special nephew, Casen; as well as several aunts, uncles, great-aunts, great-uncles, many close cousins, extended family members, and tons of friends who will miss her dearly.
She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Eugene and Clara Marolf; her paternal grandparents, Lyle and Sandy Myers; and her beloved aunt, Twila Marolf.
Melissa was born on October 15, 1980 in Carthage, NY, a daughter of Kenneth and Nancy A. Marolf Myers. She began waiting tables for her uncle Jeff Myers at the Castorland Hotel at age 14, and worked there until the hotel closed. During high school, she attended Howard G. Sackett Educational Center's in the Cosmetology Program and graduated from Beaver River Central School in the Class of 1998. For over 25 years, she brought beauty and relaxation into the world as a cosmetologist and reflexologist, working at numerous local hair salons. Marriages to Jim Sturtz and William Fayle ended in divorce. For the past five years, Missy enjoyed working alongside Lisa Nortz at the Silver Bench Jewelry in the studio, becoming a valuable member of the team.
Missy was a member of Croghan American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and was Vice President of the Croghan Fire Department Auxiliary.
Missy loved Jeeping, riding side by side, making jewelry, reading, cooking, and baking. She treasured her time hiking and traveling with her daughter, sister and others.
