CASTORLAND- Margaret “Marge” Kloster,76, of Old State Road, passed away Sunday, September 8, 2024, under the loving care of her family and Lewis County Hospice.
She is survived by her eight children, Peter (Monique)Branagan of Daniel Island, SC; Pam Branagan of Croghan; Lawrence (Shannon) Branagan of Croghan; Gloria (Gene) Queen of New Bremen; Margaret (Jonathan) Hedges of Lowville; Brandy (Keith) Alford of Goose Creek, SC, Candi (Darren) Brown of Turin, and Daryl Kloster Jr. (Stephanie Kostrub) of Turin; a brother, James (Loretta) Stelmach of FL; special nephew Michael (Carla) Stelmach, who was the apple of her eyes; a son in law, Danny Zehr Jr.; 29 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren with one more on the way. Marge was predeceased by her beloved husband Daryl in 2022; and her two sisters, Gloria and Mary Stelmach, and two brothers, John and Peter Stelmach.
She was born April 12, 1948 in Brooklyn, NY, to the late Peter W. and Dorothy R. O’Brien Stelmach where she attended school in Wantagh. Marge resided in Lake Ronkonkoma, NY before moving to Lewis County in 1978. On April 21, 1990 she married Daryl Kloster at their home on the Old State Road in Castorland. She was a lifelong homemaker for her beloved children.
Marge enjoyed gardening, Chinese food, watching the Buffalo Bills, going to paddle auctions, scratching lottery tickets, gator rides with Daryl, roller skating (when she was younger), and most of all, spending time with her family.
The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc, Lowville with Dale Brown officiating. Calling hours will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service, at the funeral home. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
