Leslie Anne Safford Obituary

LOWVILLE- Leslie Anne Safford, 74, wife of Dr. Robert Semlear, passed away on Saturday November 1, 2025 at Lewis County General Hospital.

Funeral services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.

Leslie was born on September 13, 1951 in Bennington, Vermont, a daughter of the late Theodore Roosevelt Safford and Doris Campbell Safford. She graduated from Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, NY and was a freelance editor for Oxford Academic Press for many years. She married Dr. Robert Semlear and the couple moved to Lowville in 2022.

Arrangements are with Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., Lowville.
