CICERO/GLENFIELD- A graveside service for Lawrence R. Norton, 81, of Cicero, formerly of Glenfield, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at Martinsburg Cemetery.  Lawrence passed away at his home on Thursday, December 26, 2024.  Arrangements are with Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., Lowville.

CICERO/GLENFIELD- Lawrence R. Norton, 81, of Cicero, formerly of Glenfield, passed away at his home on Thursday, December 26, 2024.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Iseneker Funeral Home, 5702 Waters Road, Lowville, with Rev. Bruce Chapman officiating.  There will be no calling hours.  Burial will be at the convenience of the family in the spring in Martinsburg Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Lawrence’s name may be made to Lewis County Humane Society, P.O. Box 682, Lowville, NY 13367.

Lawrence is survived by one sister, Barbara (Gordon) Monnat of Croghan; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his longtime companion, Bill Bisbo; siblings, Mary Alice Callaghan and Frederick Norton; and his two precious dogs Sasha and Cocoa.

Lawrence was born on October 10, 1943 in Lowville, a son of the late Edgar and Bertha Merry Norton.  He graduated from General Martin High School in Glenfield and went to work for Hall Ski Lift in Watertown for a time before working for the United States Post Office for many years, retiring from USPS in Cicero after many years of dedicated service.

He enjoyed flower gardening and decorating his home for the holidays.
