Joyce Marie (Bruckman) Brouty

CASTORLAND- Joyce Marie Brouty, 79 of Mira Lane, passed away on Friday, November 20, 2020 at her home.

She is survived by two children Lisa (Edwin) Barker of Theresa; Dale Brouty of Castorland; five grandchildren, Sebastian (Sarah), Zachary, Jennifer, Noah and Abigayle; and a great grand-daughter, Allison; a sister Helen (Larry ) Brouty of Croghan; nieces, nephews, cousins; and her husband’s family.  She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Richard; a son, Kenneth Richard Brouty; her twin brother, John Bruckman; two sisters, Shirley Branagan, and Mary Martin. 

Joyce was born on June 18, 1941 in Lowville, NY, a daughter of the late Jacob and Helen Schneider Bruckman, and attended Beaver River Central School.  On September 29, 1962         she married Richard Brouty.  Joyce worked at Beaverite in Croghan and Beaver Falls; Fort Drum as a cleaner; she went back to Beaverite in Croghan and Beaver Falls, Walmart in Lowville, Dollar General in Lowville and Croghan. Richard passed away in 1994.

She enjoyed hunting years ago with her husband and her father-in-law.  She loved puzzles, game shows and watching MASH.
