Joseph Wilfred Rosiczkowski passed away of natural causes earlier this month, at the age of 71. Born on April 1, 1953, in Lowville, NY, Joe was the son of the late Leon Rosiczkowski, Sr. and Theresa Proulx Rosiczkowski.
Joe was a beloved father to his daughter, Samantha Rosiczkowski, and a dedicated brother to his siblings, Vickie (Gary) Olcott, Leon (Eliana)Rosiczkowski, Jr., and Gary (Elaine) Rosiczkowski. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Joe was a retired Mechanical Engineering professor at Alfred University, where he dedicated over 35 years of his life to teaching. Joe joined the faculty at Alfred University in July 1988 and served until his retirement in May 2023. Throughout his career, Joe received numerous Teaching Excellence Awards and was known for his commitment to his students.
In his free time, Joe enjoyed working in his garden, playing Euchre, watching superhero movies, and caring for his cats and other animals. He was known for his generous spirit and dedication to helping animals in need.
Joe will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
A memorial service to celebrate Joe's life will be held at Iseneker Funeral Home, 5702 Waters Road, Lowville, NY at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 20th, 2024. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hornell Humane Society, 7649 Industrial Park Road, Hornell, NY 14843 in memory of Joe.
