John J. Brooking

LOWVILLE/CAMDEN, NY - John J. Brooking, 63, of North State Street, Lowville, formerly of Camden, died Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at his home.  

John was born on September 26, 1962 in Rensselaer, NY, a son of the late Earl and Lorraine Stevens Brooking.  He graduated from Troy High School in 1980 and went on to work for the CDTA (Capital District Transportation) as a bus driver and was a security guard.

John is survived by a son, John J.r.; brothers and sisters, Earl (Toby) Brooking (late Joan Brooking), Gail Brooking Westfall (late Bob Westfall), and Beth Brooking. John was predeceased by his parents, his beloved wife Teresa Stickles Brooking, and his brother Michael Brooking.

A graveside prayer will be said at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, June 8, 2026 at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, East Greenbush, NY.
