Jessica "Jess" L. Farney

LYONS FALLS- Jessica L. “Jess” Farney, 43, passed away Thursday evening December 5, 2024 at Upstate Medical University Hospital, Syracuse after a long illness.

Jessica was born on January 28, 1981 in Lowville, a daughter of the late Curtis P. Farney; and Jane Windover Farney.  She graduated from Lowville Academy Central School and worked as a housekeeper for Water’s Edge Inn, Old Forge, and independently for many years.

She is survived by two sons, Brice Eastman of Rome and Harley R. Post of Lyons Falls; her longtime companion, Walter Scott; a sister, Samantha (Dennis) Raso of Auburn; and a brother, Michael Farney of Syracuse; an aunt, nieces, nephews and cousins.  She is predeceased by her father.

She loved her houseplants, cards & dices, and most of all spending time with her friends and family, and her dog Crash.  Jess was a strong woman who loved her family unconditionally.

Calling hours are from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., Lowville.  A luncheon at Lewis County Marine Corps League Det. #754, Farney Hall will immediately follow calling hours, all are welcome.  Any food donations may be brought directly to the Marine Corps League beginning at 11:30 on Saturday December 14, 2024.  Burial will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
