Irene (Repak) Lehman

LOWVILLE- Irene Lehman, 90, formerly of Valley View Courts, passed away at Lewis County Residential Healthcare Facility, where she has resided for a short time.

A private graveside service will be held at First Mennonite Cemetery, New Bremen, at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements are with Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., Lowville.

Irene is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Clairon and Bonnie Lehman of Watertown; two grandsons and a granddaughter-in-law, Casey Lehman of Watertown; Dustin and Lexi Lehman of Lowville and their son, Callan; several nieces, nephews and cousins.  She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Donald E. Lehman who passed away on February 19, 2009; a granddaughter, Summer Lehman who passed away on November 9, 1991; her siblings, Nicholas Repak, John Repak, Mary Doviak, Helen Toth, Anna Petrus, Alice Chambers, Martha McDonald, Eva R. Millard, Katherine Bernat, Madeline Pitcher, and her infant brother, Anthony Repak.

Irene was born on August 11, 1935 in Montague, NY, a daughter of the late Harry and Mary Sesock Repak.  She attended country school in Montague and graduated from Lowville Academy.  On May 18, 1952, she married Donald E. Lehman at Trinity Episcopal Church in Lowville with Rev. Peterson officiating.  Together with her husband, they owned and operated a dairy farm on the Cobb Road, Copenhagen from 1952-1980, then moving to East State Street, Lowville.  She also worked for Beaverite in Glenfield and Beaver Falls for 20 years. 

Irene enjoyed visiting Turning Stone Casino, Vernon Downs, playing cards, especially euchre and bingo.
