Harold C Kiebach

COPENHAGEN- A graveside service for Harold C. Kiebach, 91, of NYS Route 12, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, May 16, 2025 at the Riverside Cemetery Annex, Copenhagen.  Harold passed away on Wednesday morning, December 18, 2024 at Lewis County General Hospital. Arrangements are with Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., Lowville.

COPENHAGEN- Harold C. Kiebach, 91, of NYS Route 12, passed away on Wednesday morning, December 18, 2024 at Lewis County General Hospital.

Calling hours will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at Iseneker Funeral Home, 5702 Waters Road, Lowville.  A graveside service will be held in the spring at The Riverside Cemetery in Copenhagen.

Harold is survived by his two children, Nancy Eisenhower of Lebanon, PA and Gerald H. Kiebach of Copenhagen; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Kenny Kiebach of Bernville, PA; and nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was predeceased by his beloved wife of nearly 71 years, Kathleen, on August 19, 2023; one son, Larry Kiebach, who passed away at age 9; one brother, Allen Kiebach; and two sisters-in-law, June Kiebach and Inga Kiebach.

Harold was born on November 4, 1933 in Berks County, Pennsylvania, a son of the late Charles E. and Maude R. J. Gassert Kiebach. He attended country school in Bernville, PA and worked on area farms. On November 8, 1952, he married Kathleen E. Sweitzer in Berks County, Robesonia, PA.  For a short time, he worked at Wernersville State Hospital as an orderly before working in the trucking business. He was first a truck mechanic and then a truck driver, hauling cattle from Pennsylvania to Illinois for many years. Together with his wife, the couple worked on and owned several farms throughout Pennsylvania before moving to Copenhagen on August 1, 1999.  Since 1999, the couple has owned and operated a dairy farm on NYS Route 12 with the help of their son, Gerald.

Harold enjoyed hunting in his younger years, visiting with friends and neighbors, and life on the farm.
