Evelyn A. (Fagan) Williams

LOWVILLE– Evelyn A. Williams, 77, formerly of Valley View Courts, passed away Thursday, morning, August 20, 2020 at Lewis County Residential Healthcare Facility.

She is survived by two children, Lena Wiley and her husband Jerry of Castorland, and Leonard Williams of PA;  4 grandchildren; a sister, Sharon McRae of Alexandria, VA; nieces, nephews and cousins.  She is predeceased by a son Charles, David Fagan; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Frances and Larry Poplin and Carol and Mike King.

Evelyn was born on October 10, 1942 in Washington D.C., a daughter of the late Charles Lynnwood and Ellen Coleen Lee Fagan.  She graduated from Wakefield High School in Arlington, VA. She attended college for nursing and worked as a registered nurse for over 30 years, including Arlington Hospital and other nursing homes.  She also worked for 10 years at a Walmart Supercenter in Manassas, VA.  Evelyn enjoyed traveling to Fort Myers, FL, and Hawaii.  She was a lover of the beach.  She enjoyed crocheting, and was a collector of Disney memorabilia.

In keeping with Evelyn’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral service.  Burial will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Lewis County Residential Healthcare Facility, Attn:  Activities, 7785 N. State Street, Lowville, NY 13367.   Arrangements are with Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., Lowville.
