BRANTINGHAM-Daniel A. Nowak, 78, passed away Saturday July 27, 2024 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Daniel is survived by his wife, Dee; three children, Gwen (Blake) Cohoon of Upstate Washington, Scott Nowak of Kinsale, Virginia, and Carrie (Steve) Skwarchuk of Washington; a granddaughter, Danelle (Ryan) Bush of Brantingham; four great-grandchildren, Zoe, Hunter, Phoenix, and Madison; two great-great grandchildren, Blakelee and Maverick, a sister, Ann Gillen of Florida; and a brother Mike Nowak of Whitley, KY. Daniel was predeceased by six siblings, Veronica, Mary, Joann, Betty, Richard, and Bob.
Daniel was born on February 21, 1946 in Toledo, Ohio, a son of the late Joseph and Sophia Kujawa Nowak. He was raised by his mother and step-father, Joseph Napierala. On October 12, 1965, he married Donelda Steffen in Clintwood, Virgina. This marriage later ended in divorce. Daniel worked for Toledo Steel Tube in Toledo, Ohio for several years and for many years until his retirement he worked as a janitor at Walmart in Tucson, Arizona. On June 19, 2022, Daniel remarried his forever love Donelda in Kinsale, Virginia. A year ago, the couple moved to Brantingham to be closer to their family.
He enjoyed fishing from his dock, eating all kinds of food, especially donuts and pies, but, most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
There will be no calling hours or funeral.
