Amy Brianne Howard

Amy Brianne Howard, 26, passed away on August 19, 2020.
Amy is survived by her parents, John & Marcia Howard of LaPlata MD; her paternal
grandmother, Dottie Howard of LaPlata; and lots of uncles, aunts, and cousins. She is
predeceased by her paternal grandfather and step-grandmother, John & Sheila Howard of
Florida; her maternal grandfather, Robert M Kirch Sr of Croghan NY; and her maternal
grandmother & step-grandfather, Adeline & Richard Zehr of Lowville NY; a maternal uncle
Alan Kirch of Croghan; and a maternal aunt, Lynn Dobransky of Herrings, and 2 maternal
cousins Nicole Austin and Mary Kirch.
Amy was born at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, MD on December 3, 1993.
In her younger years, Amy enjoyed participating in Beauty Pageants. She competed in
Pageants for over 10 years. She was very active and enjoyed dance classes, karate and
cheerleading. As a teenager she enjoyed participating in sports and was very active in
softball and field hockey. She graduated from Maurice J. McDonough High School in 2011.
In 2013 she received a CNA from the College of Southern Maryland. Amy worked as a
CNA while her health permitted. She had a beautiful smile and a contagious laugh. She
loved making others happy and helping those less fortunate. She loved her New York
family and considered New York her second home. She had a true compassion for animals
and her greatest love besides her family, was her dog Marley.
Calling hours will be held from 12 noon to 1 p.m. with memorial service following on Saturday September 12, 2020 at Croghan Mennonite Church, 7048 Kirschnerville Road, Croghan.
