William J. Walseman

CASTORLAND – William J. Walseman, 31, of Resha Road, passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2018. 

A funeral Mass will be said at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at St. James Catholic Church, Carthage, with Rev. Donald Robinson, Pastor, officiating.  Burial will be in St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Croghan.  Calling hours are from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., 5702 Waters Road, Lowville.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Augustinian Academy, 317 West Street, Carthage, NY  13619.

He is survived by his companion, Heather Miller, and their children, Chase and Onalee; his father and mother, Larry and Kathy Walseman; his siblings, Larry Walseman II and his wife Carrie of Castorland; John Walseman of Portland, OR; Katherine and her husband, Jonathan Thompson of Oxford, NC; Benjamin Walseman of Carthage; his maternal grandmother, Gertrude Dicob of Castorland; his paternal grandmother, Ramona Walseman of Croghan; many aunts, uncles, great-aunts, great-uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Francis Dicob; his paternal grandfather, Beryl Walseman, Sr.; his uncles, James Walseman and William Dicob; and his aunt, Merry Dicob.

William was born on February 4, 1986 in Carthage, New York, a son of Larry J. Walseman and Kathy D. Dicob Walseman.  He graduated from Carthage Central School and attended Jefferson Community College.  He worked in construction with his brother, Larry Walseman II, and for other local construction companies before working in windmill construction, which he loved. 

William was a communicant of St. James Catholic Church, Carthage.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing.  Most of all, he loved his kids.
