MARTINSBURG-Suzanne M. Widrick, 79, of Alger Road, passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, Utica.
There will be no calling hours or funeral service. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Lewis County Search and Rescue P.O. Box 247 Lowville, NY 13367.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Larry; 3 children and a daughter-in-law, Teresa Jaeger of Florida, Peggy Bailey of Florida, Larry A.J. and Lynn Widrick of Fulton; a brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Terry Dixon of Syracuse; 4 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is predeceased by her two children, Robert Widrick and Lisa Wilcox.
Suzanne was born December 27, 1938 in Syracuse, a daughter of the late John and Teresa Kliest Dixon. She graduated from St. Patrick’s High School in Syracuse, NY. She enlisted and served in the U.S. Air Force and was honorably discharged. She married Larry R. Widrick on February 12, 1966 at Glenfield United Methodist Church with Rev. Bruce W. Chapman officiating. She worked as an EMT for Champion International, Deferiet and was a volunteer for the Lewis County Search and Rescue.
