Sandra A. (Billhardt) Carr

LOWVILLE- Sandra A. Billhardt Carr, 75, died Sunday evening, February 25, 2018 at the Lewis County Residential Health Care Facility, where she has resided since January 07, 2004.            

A graveside service will be held in the spring in Martinsburg Cemetery.  There will be no calling hour or funeral service. Contributions may be made to the Lewis County Humane Society, P.O. Box 682, Lowville, NY 13367. Arrangements are with Iseneker Funeral Home Inc., Lowville.

She is survived by two brothers and a sister-in-law, William H. and Joyce M. Billhardt of Glenfield, Thomas G. Billhardt of Lacona; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. She is predeceased by a sister and brother-in-law, Grace Billhardt Millard and Kenneth Millard; and a nephew, Scott Billhardt.

Sandra was born on March 5, 1942 in Pulaski, NY, a daughter of the late Henry F. and Elsie M. Miller Billhardt.  She attended Pulaski Academy and Central School and General Martin High School. She attended beauty school in Watertown and owned and operated a beauty salon in Lowville for many years. She was a caregiver for her mother and later became an Avon representative until her marriage to Erwin D. Carr, which later ended in divorce. She had a love for animals, owning several horses and dogs through the years. She also loved spending time with family and friends.
