Luke Malcolm Geertz

CROGHAN– Luke Geertz, 63, passed away Tuesday evening, May 7, 2019 at University Hospital, Syracuse.

Calling hours are from 5:30-7:30 on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc. There will be no funeral service. Arrangements are with Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., Lowville.

He is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Julia and Adrian Balderrama of  Las Cruces, NM; two step sons, Dean and wife, Dianna Martin of Croghan, Wally Martin of Lowville, a long time friend Anna Marie Kargo of Croghan, 12 Grandchildren; 6 Great Grandchildren; 3 aunts, many nieces nephews and cousins.

Luke was born on January 19, 1956 in Newport News, VA, a son of the late Eric and Dorothea Endmann Geertz. Luke was a proud Marine from 1974-1976.

He is predeceased by his significant other Andrea Martin of 32 years. He also is predeceased by his son Paul Malcom Geertz, he passed at ten years old.

Luke was an animal lover and enjoyed fishing , he enjoyed playing games on the computer and spending time with family he had a love for water from rivers, creeks, to oceans and open sea , he enjoyed feeding and watching birds and chipmunks.  Luke was a man of short words but had the eyes of an angel and a smile that could light up a room, he liked to play board games and he loved to be a back seat driver.
