LOWVILLE- June M. Edick, 85, formerly of West Road, Town of Martinsburg, Lowville, died on Friday, April 6, 2018 at the Lewis County Residential Healthcare Facility.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc. Lowville with Rev. Joyce Woodcock officiating, burial will be in West Lowville Rural Cemetery.   Calling hours are Tuesday, April 10, 2018 from 11 – 1 prior to the funeral service, at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the Lowville United Methodist Church, 7618 North State Street, Lowville, NY 13367 or Lewis County Residential Health Facility, attention Activities Department, 7785 North State Street, Lowville, NY 13367.

Surviving are her husband of 69 years, Donald O. Edick;  four sons; Robert H. and Marion Edick, Voorsville, NY, Richard E. and Cheryl Edick. Electric City, Washington, Gerald F. and Jennifer Edick, Madison Heights, Michigan, Jefferey W. and Tammy Edick, Castorland, NY. Five daughters; Cynthia M. and Henry Nortz, Lowville, Cheryl A. and Thomas LaLonde, Lyons Falls, Janelle M. and Patrick Flynn, Lowville, Suzanne L. and Anthony VerSchneider, Virginia Beach, VA, Debra J. Edick of Stamford, CT., several grandchildren, several great-grandchildren,  and great-great grandchildren; a brother Ronald Butts, Stephens City, VA, sister-in-law Bettie Rook of West Martinsburg; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by two daughters, Berneda K. Edick, who died at birth on December 24, 1961; Bonnie L. Cobb; and grandson Joseph Cobb, a granddaughter Jennifer J. Nortz; a sister Lillian Butts, brothers, Bernard Rook, Donald Butts, Charles Butts, and Richard Butts.

June was born on July 20, 1932 in Lowville, NY, a daughter of the late Gerald and Pernal Burke Rook and attended rural school in West Martinsburg and Lowville Academy.  On September 21, 1948, she married Donald O. Edick at Lowville Methodist Church, Lowville. She worked for Greystone Manor Nursing Home for many years, Beaverite Products, Beaver Falls from 1964 to 1972. She also worked as a cashier in the cafeteria at Lowville Academy from 1974 to 1981 when she retired.

She was a member of Lowville United Methodist Church; and she was a member of Tops, #636 NY, Lowville. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting, plastic canvas and her cats. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with grandchildren.
