TURIN – Gail M. Watson, 61, passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Dan Planck, Boonville, under the loving care of her family and Lewis County Hospice.
Calling hours are from 5 – 7 p.m. on Friday, February 23, 2018 at Iseneker Funeral Home Inc., followed by a closing prayer. A gathering at 3 G Fire Department, Glenfield, will immediately follow the prayer service. All are welcome. Any food donations may be taken directly to the fire hall starting at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Friends of Lewis County Hospice P.O. Box 266 Lowville, NY 13637.
She is survived by her 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Marie Schall of Rock Hill, Michelle and Dan Planck of Boonville; her mother, Patricia E. Watson of Glenfield; her sibling and their spouses Robert and Kristin Watson of Glenfield; Ronald W. Watson and his companion, Charlene “Charlie” Berrus of Lowville; Rick and Kathie Watson of Brantingham; and a sister-in-law, Cindy Kaldowski of Brantingham; 6 grandchildren, Tracy, Hunter, Wyatt, Jacob, Donivin, and L.T.; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by her father, Charles W. Watson, and a sister, Rita Schmitt.
Gail was born September 10, 1956 in Lowville, a daughter of the late Charles W. Watson and Patricia E. Levesque Watson. She graduated from South Lewis Central School. While in school, she attended Glenfield B.O.C.E.S in the LPN Program. She worked as a LPN for many years, before going back to school for her RN. She enjoyed being a nurse. Most recently, she worked for CNY DSO as a registered nurse, retiring in October 17, 2017 due to illness.
She loved her Harleys, camping, bonfires, kayaking, and skiing. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, being known as “Grandma Goofy”.
