BOONVILLE/LOWVILLE- Eleanor J. Field, 73, of Evergreen Drive, Boonville, formerly of Cascade Avenue, Lowville, died Monday, October 9, 2017 at Faxton-St. Luke’s Hospital, Utica.

The funeral will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Trinity Episcopal Church, Boonville, with Rev. Linda M. Logan, Rector, officiating.  Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 14, 2017 in Evergreen Cemetery, Roberts Corners.  Calling hours are from 7-9 p.m. on Friday, October 13, 2017 at Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., 5702 Waters Road, Lowville.  In lie of flowers, contributions may be made to Lewis County Humane Society, P.O. Box 682, Lowville, NY 13367.

She is survived by a step-daughter, Kimberly A. Field of Melrose, Massachusetts; a sister and brother-in-law, Mary E. and Ronald Terrillion of Lowville; nieces, nephews and cousins.  She is predeceased by her husband, James R. Field, who died June 4, 2011.

Eleanor was born on December 26, 1943 in Lowville, NY, a daughter of the late Charles S. and Eloise L. Richmond Liscum.  She graduated from Lowville Academy and Central School and Central City Business Institute, Syracuse.  On October 12, 1974, she married James R. Field at Lowville United Methodist Church, with Rev. Robert Nay, officiating.  Eleanor worked for the Lewis County Treasurer’s office and as Village Clerk for the Village of Lowville.  Her memberships included the Zenith-Copenhagen Chapter OES #346 serving as Grand Chaplin of the State of New York and several times as Matron of Copenhagen chapter, Northern Cruisers, Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Lewis County Historical Society. 

She enjoyed fishing, motorcycling, boating and snowmobiling.  Eleanor enjoyed antique cars, going to auctions, collecting postcards and Garfield memorabilia.  She enjoyed genealogy, and exploring the history of Lewis County and Lowville. Eleanor enjoyed watching baseball and traveling on cruises to Hawaii and Alaska.  She loved her pets, most recently Alex, and her dogs.
