GLENFIELD- A graveside service for Edward J. Ford, 89, of Pine Grove Road, will be at 1;00 p.m. on Friday, April 27, 2018 at Beaches Bridge Cemetery with Rev. Bruce W. Chapman officiating. He passed away at Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown, on Wednesday, March 21, 2018.
He is survived by his late nephew’s wife, Marilyn Graves and their children; Vicky Widmeyer, Sherry Herman, Richard D. Graves, Lori Gillen, and Robert Graves. He is also survived by his late wife, Agnes’, family; Raymond and Elaine Worthington, David and Judy Worthington, Carol Worthington, Shirley Worthington, Margaret Worthington, and Norma Worthington. He is predeceased by his beloved wife, Agnes, who died on December 14, 2014; a brother, Leon Ford; two sisters, Laura Graves and Ola Costello; and a special nephew, Richard T. Graves. He is also predeceased by Agnes’ brothers.
Ed was born on December 31, 1928 in Watson, NY, a son of the late Louis and Lula Shaw Ford. On April 3, 1964, he married Agnes H. Worthington at First Methodist Church in Lowville, with Rev. Roberts Mallabar officiating. Ed worked as a lineman for Gould Paper, Lyons Falls from 1945-1954 and then had four years of electrical school and worked as an electrician for IBEW Local 910, Watertown, then for E.D. Youngs, Watertown, until his retirement. He was a life member of B.P.O.E. #1605, Lowville Lodge and a member of Ball Rock Hunting Club, and Glen-Greig Fish and Game Club. He was an avid fisherman and golfer.
