CROGHAN – Edith June Jandrew, 83, of Long Pond Road, passed away on Friday afternoon, April 13, 2018 at her home, under the loving care of her family and Lewis County Hospice.
The funeral service will be private and held at the convenience of the family. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Syracuse, NY . There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are with Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., Lowville.
Surviving are six children and their spouses, Deborah and Michale Schell; George Jandrew; Blanche and Patrick Dennis; Kenny Jandrew; Christine Jandrew; Leon and Terri Jandrew; a brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Irene DeCarr; 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by her husband, George; and her siblings, Leon, Louie, Clifford, Floyd, Francis and Blanche
Edith was born June 11, 1934 in Watertown, a daughter of the late Dolf and Edith Jock DeCarr. On November 4, 1961, she married George Jandrew in Pennsylvania. Mr. Jandrew died on September 12, 1995. Mrs. Jandrew earned her Certified Nursing Assistant degree, and worked for Home Instead in Florida.
She enjoyed attending flea markets and yard sales, going to the beach, playing cards, and having big dinners for her family.
