LOWVILLE – Bernice E. Mostyn, 90, of McPhilmy Road passed away, Monday morning, May 28, 2018 at her home.
A funeral Mass will be said at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 1, 2018 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Lowville. Burial will be in Beaches Bridge Cemetery, Watson. Calling hours will be held from 4 -7 on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., Lowville.
She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Terrence Sr.; four children, Terrence Jr. and his wife Joanne of Glenfield; Donald Mostyn and his wife Kathie of Lowville; Raymond Mostyn and his wife, Robin of Lowville; Bernice “Bunny” Perkins of Lowville; a son-in-law, Charles Gazzillio of Lowville; a sister Florence Pollio and her husband Louis of Florida; grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by a daughter, Kathleen B. Gazzillo; a son-in-law, William Perkins; a brother, Charles Brennan; and two sisters, Veronica Shade; and Dorothy Brennan, who died as a child.
Bernice was born on November 25, 1927 in Bronx, NY, a daughter of the late Charles B. and Mary Seiferheld Brennan and attended Union Hill High School in Union City, N.J. She worked for Chrysler’s Jewelry in N.J. for many years before her marriage. On April 14, 1951, she married Terrence W. Mostyn at St. Joseph’s Church in West Newark, N.J. She raised her family, and together with her husband, they moved to Lowville in 1990.
She enjoyed sewing, walking, flower gardening, music, singing, puzzles, and keeping up on current events.
