Biography
LOWVILLE- Louise Booth, 94, passed away at the home of her daughter, Ruth Laribee, East Road, Lowville on Wednesday evening, December 28, 2011 under the care of her daughter, and Lewis County Hospice.
A prayer service for Louise and her son, Dale Booth, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 2, 2012 at Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. Christopher Carrara, Pastor of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Lowville, officiating. Spring burial for Louise and Dale will be in the Sand Hill Cemetery, Natural Bridge. Calling hours will follow the prayer service until 2:00 p.m., at the funeral home. Dale, 71, passed away on October 30, 2011 in Delmar, DE. Louise is survived by two daughters, Ruth Laribee of Lowville, Patti Booth of Watertown; two sisters, Arlene Farmer of Colorado and Lucille Stoddard of Nebraska; eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a her Dale Booth, a son-in-law, Glenn Laribee, a grandson, a granddaughter, two sisters, Pat Swan, Kathryn Kaufman, and a brother, Jackie Morrison.
Louise was born on May 26, 1917 in Brasher Falls, NY, a daughter of the late Louis and Kathryn Millmore Morrison. She worked at Carbola in Natural Bridge and also worked for 30 years for Farm Credit in the Lowville office. Her husband, Gordon, died many years ago.
She was a long standing member of WIFE (Women Involved in Farm Economics). She also was a graduate assistant for Dale Carnegie.
Louise enjoyed ceramics, crossword puzzles, and playing the card game rummy. She also enjoyed writing letters.
